A quick question.

I last played RS back in 2007ish. However when I play RS mobile with the same account it says I need to start again?

Anyway I can transfer my account to mobile?

Thanks.

Your account and stats are saved on RS3 which is the version you played in 2007.
Current OldSchool RuneScape was launched in 2013 meaning everyone had a restart.

As far as I know, you need to create a new account and start from fresh.

I wouldn't say you're starting over since you've never played OSRS. You played Runescape which has, over time and updates, evolved into Rs3 (whether people like it or not). All old accounts are where they should be on the original Runescape game. OSRS ( what the mobile game is) was released in 2013 with the same look and feel of 2007 Runescape. Too many people are leaving bad reviews and complaining because they think OSRS is the same thing as Runescape, when in reality all their accounts are Rs3 accounts, not OSRS.

Hopefully this helped a bit.

Goldengoose. Much like sir Murray when I quit it was what osrs is currently and so although technically runescape is current it is NOT what we grew up with and puts us so far behind because there are new skills and game layout I have no idea wtf Im doing on it now but osrs which I played for many years is what I grew up with and I can see why so many people are complaining being told what they grew up with is not actually what we grew up with and to just deal it, when I tried to do the same my account clocked over 600 hours which is now a waste because osrs is where my heart belongs not this new game.

I am with Rowdykibbles, I want my game back. This OSRS is different is BS, this new WOW version or runescape is the new one. We should be given the option, stats can be on one or the other (but let us choose where our man hours are spent). And the reason I played runescape was because it was not WOW. It's been WOW players VS Runescape players since the beginning. Conforming to one group and making us play with them is not fair

I, too, am deeply disappointed. I would consider rejoining with membership if the same character I played (which is currently in the most exclusive version of Runescape) was able to be transferred to what is now considered OSRS or Mobile. I began anew but it will take more time than I am interested to investing in order to reach back to the levels and progress I had previously.

I recently got back into the OSRS playing on my phone more often and investigated the possibility of moving over those stats and items to the mobile version. Unfortunately it seems as though I will likely not ever renew a membership and only play to burn time as F2P unless there is a solution.

I agree with this sentiment, I would definitely consider membership for OSRS if my stats from my "main" account could be restored. I put so much time into that account that I just can't justify putting the same effort into a new OSRS account. I've recently returned to RS after quitting sometime in 2011 (just before EOC came out, I believe) and it's not hard for me to believe that OSRS is more popular than RS3. I don't think it's more popular because of "old players" who prefer nostalgia, but rather because RS2 was just more simple and mindless and fun. RS3 seems more like WoW and other more complex MMORPGs designed for more serious gamers, whereas RS2 appealed more to casual gamers who just wanted to enjoy a simple, fun, and rewarding game. As a casual gamer, I have no desire to play RS3... but if RS2 came back, or OS was updated to 2011-esque RS with all my old stats (and no micro-transactions, ugh) I would love to continue where I left off.

When OSRS was released back in 2013, it was based on the 2007 version of Runescape.
Even if you had signed in to OSRS on day 1, you would not have been able to transfer your game across.

The 2013 RS had evolved six years on the 2007 RS - there were already too many changes e.g. Summoning skill, Dungeoneering skill, new quests etc.
Technically you cannot fit an evolved game into an older game without crashing the code and glitching the game completely.

Also, you devalue the work of the players that have created and trained their OSRS accounts over the past seven years.
EVERYBODY is in the same boat on this issue.
WE ALL had to start afresh to play OSRS.

Your lives have moved on and, maybe, it is too difficult to put the hours in any more.
Life has many such disappointments.
